Farragut wedding DJ
A tent on the lawn, the lake behind it, and a hundred and twenty people on a floor laid over grass. That is the Farragut wedding most couples are picturing, and it is also the hardest one on this list to plan, because Farragut sits between Lenoir City and Knoxville as a place people live rather than a place people hold weddings.
The reason is that Farragut is a residential town rather than a venue town. There is no cluster of barns and no downtown full of event halls. A Farragut reception is usually one of four things: the Town’s own Community Center, a private home or a tent on the water, a club, or a venue just over the line in Lenoir City or west Knoxville.
Every one of those four is a different job, and three of them are rooms that were not built for a party. That is worth knowing before you hire anyone.

The Community Center’s two numbers are the whole decision
The Town publishes the Assembly Hall as 144 seated at tables and 225 reception-style. Those are not two ways of describing one room, they are two different weddings. A seated dinner for 200 does not fit. A standing reception with a full dance floor for 200 does, and it does comfortably, with the pre-function room holding another 148 standing.
A Town park rental ends at 8pm, and at 4pm in winter
This is the single most useful thing on this page. A full-day pavilion rental at a Town of Farragut park runs 9am to 8pm, and from 1 November until early March it runs 10am to 4pm. A reception that has to be finished at eight is a daytime reception, and a November one finishing at four is a lunch. Either is lovely if you planned it. Neither survives being discovered two weeks out.
At home, power comes before music
A lot of Farragut weddings happen at a house on Fort Loudoun Lake with a tent in the garden, and that is genuinely one of the best kinds of wedding there is. It is also an electrical question before it is a musical one. A DJ rig, dance floor lighting and a caterer on one household circuit will trip it, usually during dinner. Rob asks which outlets are on which breaker, and where the nearest one to the tent actually is.
Get the sound and alcohol rules in writing, because the Town does not publish them
As of September 2026 the Town of Farragut’s Facility Rental and Community Center pages set out capacities, hours and prices and say nothing at all about amplified sound or alcohol. That is not permission, it is silence, and the detail may well be in a rental agreement those pages do not show. Ask Parks and Recreation for both in writing along with the load-in access, and get it before you sign rather than before you load in.
Ask what a nearby venue counts as, because your vendors will travel differently
Plenty of “Farragut weddings” are actually held a few miles west in Lenoir City or east in Knoxville. That is fine. It does mean checking each vendor’s travel policy against the real address. Rob’s covers two hours from Lenoir City, so anywhere in this conversation is included either way.

Farragut is the unusual case on this list: the biggest single bookable room in town belongs to the Town itself, and the rest of a Farragut wedding tends to happen at a house, a club, or just over the line.

Published capacities, published hours, and a hard 8pm close on the outdoor spaces. The Assembly Hall is a genuinely good reception room; the parks are a daytime proposition.

The most common Farragut wedding there is, and the one where the DJ conversation starts with breakers rather than with playlists. Power, a level surface for the floor, and a plan for rain.

Lenoir City to the west, west Knoxville to the east. Worth being precise about the address, because every vendor’s travel policy reads it differently.

The Town of Farragut rents out the rooms itself, publishes the capacities, and closes its parks at 8pm.
- Farragut Community Center, Assembly Hall: 144 seated at tables, or 225 reception-style. The rental includes a pre-function room holding 148 standing, a catering kitchen and a stage.
- Also at the Community Center: a large classroom seating 37 and a medium classroom seating 22 at tables, plus a middle-school-sized gymnasium.
- Community Center rentals are arranged by appointment with the Town rather than booked online. The current contact details are on the Town of Farragut page linked below; they are not repeated here, because a second phone number on a DJ’s website is how a wrong number gets published.
- Ten picnic pavilions are rentable across Anchor Park, the BlueCross Healthy Place at Town Hall, Founders Park at Campbell Station and McFee Park, from $26 to $182 depending on the park and the day.
- Pavilion hours: half day 9am to 2pm or 3pm to 8pm; full day 9am to 8pm. From 1 November until early March, 10am to 4pm.
- McGill Plaza and Founders Park at Campbell Station are rentable for special events, on a form submitted to Farragut Parks and Recreation for approval.
- Neither the Facility Rental page nor the Community Center page states any rule about amplified sound or alcohol. Ask Parks and Recreation for both in writing.

Which areas do you cover?
Knoxville and East Tennessee, and further than most. Rob is based in Lenoir City, twenty minutes west of Knoxville, and travel within two hours of there is included in every package: that covers Knoxville, Maryville, Farragut, the Sevier County wedding towns, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities. Further than two hours, ask, and it is quoted on the drive.
How far in advance should we book?
Earlier than you think. In Rob’s words, from his own guide: “Many DJs like myself tend to book 9 to 18 months out, and in some cases two years out, so do not delay in finding your DJ.” Peak-season Saturdays go first. Send the date and find out.
