Maryville wedding DJ
Maryville is twenty-five minutes from Rob’s door, which is the one town on this list where he can walk your room before the day without it being a trip. It is worth using: the difference between a DJ who has seen your venue and one who has read about it shows up at load-in.
Blount County is really two wedding markets sharing a county line. Downtown Maryville has a run of big historic buildings: five, seven and ten thousand square feet, brick, high ceilings, several of them seating over 300. Twenty minutes up the road, Townsend and Walland have the mountain estates and the barns.
Those two rooms need almost nothing in common from a DJ. One is a reverberant hard box where the whole job is keeping speech intelligible at volume. The other is a dark timber space where the whole job is light.

Downtown Maryville’s rooms are big and hard
Brick walls, tall ceilings and a lot of square footage make a room where sound arrives twice. The answer is more speakers placed shorter, not one pair turned up, and it is the difference between a best man everyone hears and a best man nobody does. Ask any DJ quoting you how they would cover a 5,000 square foot brick room. The answer tells you everything.
If your venue has house AV, settle it early
The Capitol Theatre is a working performance venue with a stage and a thirty-foot screen. Maryville College’s Clayton Center for the Arts is a performing arts complex. Rooms like that have their own sound systems, their own technicians and their own rules about what a visiting vendor may plug into. That is usually an advantage. It is only an advantage if it was agreed in writing before load-in.
Guest count changes the rig, not just the room
The downtown Maryville rooms run to 350 guests; The Landmark at J. Danforth Mercantile is listed at up to 130. Both are lovely. They are not the same job, and a DJ who quotes you the same setup for both has not asked enough questions.
A Foothills barn is a lighting job before it is a sound job
Country Manor Acres, The Barn Event Center of the Smokies and the Walland and Townsend estates are exactly the rooms uplighting was invented for: big, dark, timber, and photographed almost entirely after sunset. Get the color agreed against your linens and your flowers, and get it placed before the first photograph, not after.
Twenty-five minutes is a real advantage, so use it
Rob is based in Lenoir City. For a Maryville booking that means an early load-in is easy rather than heroic, a site visit is a short drive, and travel is inside the price. Ask your other vendors how far they are coming; it changes how the morning of your wedding goes.

Which areas do you cover?
Knoxville and East Tennessee, and further than most. Rob is based in Lenoir City, twenty minutes west of Knoxville, and travel within two hours of there is included in every package: that covers Knoxville, Maryville, Farragut, the Sevier County wedding towns, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities. Further than two hours, ask, and it is quoted on the drive.
How far in advance should we book?
Earlier than you think. In Rob’s words, from his own guide: “Many DJs like myself tend to book 9 to 18 months out, and in some cases two years out, so do not delay in finding your DJ.” Peak-season Saturdays go first. Send the date and find out.
